FERROUS METALS

Ferrous metals from many industrial operations can produce scrap metal in profitably recyclable quantities.

Iron and steel form the bulk of the metal recycling done by NIM. Suitable iron and steel scrap metal can be acquired in abundant quantities from various sources including building demolition and industrial activities such as shredding (particularly of appliances like stoves and refrigerators), bushelling (steel clips), turnings (shavings from metal drilling operations), boring (cast iron drilling leftovers) and many other common industrial metal working operations. We accept plate and structural steel, manganese steel, sheet iron, cast iron and many other types of unused metal waste. For organizations generating scrap metal like this, NIM can not only help them get rid of it, we can turn in into a revenue source.

NON-FERROUS METALS

We're not limited to iron and steel. We have the capability to collect and recycle many other types of scrap metal.

Some scrap metal recyclers will only accept iron and steel scrap. We offer a more versatile service. We have the storage space, the sorting equipment and the extensive metal knowledge to profitably collect and recycle a range of other metals commonly used in industry that result in substantial amounts of scrap material. These metals include:

All these and other metals can be routinely collected by NIM and sorted into marketable categories. We have access to customers eager to purchase these recycled metals. As with ferrous metals, we can help organizations safely dispose of such material while generating revenue from them.

BROKERAGE

Not all the scrap metal we deal with goes through our recycling facility. We also offer a Brokerage Service.

Because NIM has been in the scrap metal business for so many years, we have developed a vast network of suppliers of scrap metal and users of recyclable metals. This network is global in scope. Frequently it's not economically feasible to transport the scrap metal to our recycling facility in Sudbury, Ontario. Due to our trusted relationships with organizations on both supplier and user side of the recycling process, we are often able to function as broker of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap metal. For instance, we may know of an abundant source of a particular type of scrap metal available in Cleveland , Ohio and a foundry in China that needs that type of metal. We can bring them together. Through such contacts and our extensive knowledge of expediting the movement of massive quantities of metal, we can act as a Brokerage Service that can be advantageous to both parties.
